Position Summary:
The Anglers Club Sponsor provides students with a safe and engaging club experience centered on fishing, outdoor recreation, conservation, and responsible angling. The sponsor will plan and supervise club meetings, activities, and events while supporting the mission, vision, and values of Eagle Ridge Academy. Position reports to the Activities Director.
Work Year:
12 months, with the possibility of a few summer meetings
Compensation/Salary:
Commensurate with experience
$1,200 stipend, to be paid in May 2027

Preferred Qualifications:
Interest in or experience with fishing, outdoor recreation, conservation, or youth programming.
Ability to organize and supervise students during meetings and off-campus activities.
Strong communication, planning, and relationship-building skills.
Willingness to complete all required ERA trainings and follow school safety procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports the mission, vision, and values of Eagle Ridge Academy.
Communicates and interacts effectively with colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
Fosters an environment and culture that promotes respect, responsibility, safety, and trust.
Adheres to ERA policies and procedures.
Keeps the Activities Director informed of club activities, celebrations, needs, and concerns.
Participates in club sponsor trainings when necessary.
Promotes club activities and celebrations by relaying information to the Marketing Coordinator.
Supervises all functions of Anglers Club, including student participation, meetings, events, and outings.
Serves as a liaison to faculty, administration, students, families, and community partners regarding matters related to Anglers Club.
Coordinates, chaperones, and schedules all club activities, including transportation when needed.
Ensures that all club activities are approved by the school and conducted in accordance with school policies.
Plans safe and age-appropriate learning opportunities related to fishing skills, conservation, outdoor ethics, and responsible angling.
Ensures that required permission forms, emergency information, and safety procedures are in place for off-campus activities.
Follows all applicable fishing regulations and ensures students have any required licenses or permissions for club outings.
Schedules club meetings, application deadlines, and events.
Meets regularly with the Activities Director to provide updates and opportunities to evaluate club activities, events, and fundraisers.
Assists administration with renewing any local, state, or national affiliations.
Provides the yearbook advisor with a yearly recap of the club by the requested deadline.
Ensures that all equipment is properly maintained, safely stored, inventoried, and disposed of when appropriate.
Completes annual fundraising as needed to support club operations.
Maintains and updates the club budget, including the required approval and ordering processes.
Maintains current CPR/First Aid certification.
Completes mandatory reporter training and all other required annual trainings.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
